20th Century and Imagine Entertainment are in the early stages of developing a feature adaptation of the hit Fox series “24.” The studio has not yet provided any comments.
“24,” created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, originally aired on Fox for nine seasons from 2001 to 2014. The series also produced a television film, “Redemption,” in 2008. Kiefer Sutherland starred as Jack Bauer, an agent from the U.S. government’s fictitious Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU).
Brian Grazer, co-founder of Imagine Entertainment, hinted at a potential feature version of the series in a recent interview with CNBC. Grazer also mentioned that a “Backdraft” reboot is in the works with Glen Powell.
Currently, no plot details for the “24” movie have been revealed, and it is unknown if Sutherland will reprise his role as Bauer.
