The 69th National Film Awards ceremony was held in Delhi, honoring the best in Indian cinema. Notable winners included Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon for Best Actress, Allu Arjun for Best Actor, and Waheeda Rehman for the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners included “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect” for Best Feature Film, “The Kashmir Files” for Best Feature Film on National Integration, and “Pushpa: The Rise” for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The event celebrated the outstanding achievements of talented individuals in the film industry.
The 69th National Film Awards ceremony was a grand celebration of outstanding achievements in Indian cinema, held at the prestigious Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi today, October 17. The star-studded event honoured some of the most talented individuals in the film industry, including acclaimed actors Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, among others.
The ceremony featured an array of notable winners, and it was graced by Kriti Sanon, who was already in Delhi after winning the Best Actress award for her remarkable performance in “Mimi.” She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I thank God and my fans for everything. My prayers have been answered. I hope this win inspires boys and girls who watch thousands of dreams and want to make them come true.”
Notably, Allu Arjun, the charismatic star of “Pushpa: The Rise,” was honoured with the Best Actor award, marking a historic moment as he became the first Telugu actor to receive this prestigious accolade. The movie “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” directed by R. Madhavan, was recognized as the Best Feature Film, while Vivek Agnihotri’s “The Kashmir Files” received the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.
Last but not the least, Waheeda Rehman was bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. An emotional Waheeda received the award and also expressed her gratitude towards the film industry.
