In a significant collaboration, Yash’s Monster Mind Creations and Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios are teaming up to produce a global version of the Indian epic, “Ramayana.” Joining them on this ambitious project are director Nitesh Tiwari and VFX studio DNEG.
Namit Malhotra expressed his commitment to respecting the sanctity of the revered tale, which is cherished by those who grew up with it, while also aiming to present it to the world in a manner that resonates with international audiences. He acknowledged Yash’s similar ambition to showcase the best of Indian culture globally, citing Yash’s journey from Karnataka to the international success of “K.G.F: Chapter 2” as evidence of his suitability as a partner for this project.
Yash shared his long-standing aspiration to create films that highlight Indian cinema on a global stage. He and Malhotra found a shared vision for Indian cinema during their ideation sessions. The idea of producing “Ramayana” emerged from these discussions. Yash emphasized their collective goal to ignite excitement and passion among audiences worldwide with this film.
