Actress Shwetha R Prasad delivers a powerful message on Earth Day, emphasizing the need for daily environmental consciousness. “Every day should be treated as Earth Day,” she asserts. “Growing up, I have the best memories of staying connected with nature. We would soak up the sun, play out in the open air, water the garden, plant new saplings. Today, times are such that not only have we abused the earth so much, but we are also not giving her the respect she deserves. With the materialistic lives that we are leading, we want to grab every inch of the earth for our benefit. The earth has taken care of us for so long. It’s time for us to take care of her now,” explains Shwetha.
To mark Earth Day, Shwetha pledges to do her part by switching off lights between 8 and 9 pm and encourages everyone to join her in this endeavour.
