Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently in judicial custody in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, was visited by his mother, brother, wife, and son for the first time at Bengaluru’s Central Prison in Parappana Agrahara on Monday, July 1. Darshan, reportedly moved to tears during the visit, has been detained along with 16 others, including his friend and partner Pavithra Gowda, over the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga.
Renukaswamy, said to be an admirer of Darshan, was allegedly kidnapped, brought to Bengaluru, and tortured to death following derogatory messages sent to Pavithra Gowda. Darshan’s family, facing cyber attacks, has urged calm among his fans, expressing confidence in the judicial process. Darshan remains in custody until July 4, while the investigation continues.
