Mollywood actors Indrans and Jaffer Idukki are joining forces for the upcoming fantasy comedy film, Kuttante Shinigami, directed by debutant Vishnu J B. The film has already stirred considerable excitement with its unique blend of humor, fantasy, and cultural exploration. Scheduled for release on August 30, 2024, Kuttante Shinigami delves into the intriguing world of Japanese beliefs surrounding “Shinigami,” which translates to “Kalan” in Malayalam and represents a supernatural entity linked to death.
The storyline follows Kuttan, a simple villager from Thingalur, who travels to Japan to study Shinigami. After earning his doctorate in this enigmatic field, Kuttan returns to his native land, only to become entangled in a series of bizarre and supernatural occurrences. Jaffer Idukki takes on the role of Kuttan, infusing the character with his signature humor and authenticity, while Indrans portrays the mysterious Shinigami, a central figure in the film’s plot.
