In the video, Rajinikanth is seen grooving to the latest track “Manasilaayo” from his forthcoming release Vettaiyan. He shared the stage with his Coolie teammates, including cinematographer Girish Gangadharan. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who was also present, was seen admiring Rajinikanth’s dance moves but chose not to join in when invited by the actor. The video, which has gone viral, captures a mix of class and mass appeal, with Rajinikanth sporting a cool new beard look for his role in Coolie.
Rajinikanth’s next film Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The ensemble cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh. The post-production work for the film is reportedly in full swing. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently filming Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj in Vizag. The film is said to be a pan-Indian action drama featuring a star-studded cast that includes Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Uppendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Reba Monica John in key roles.
