Music maestro AR Rahman has been in the news after his Saira Banu on Tuesday announced separation. His separation news has spread like wildfire and netizens were shocked that bassist Mohini Dey also announced her parting news with husband Mark Hartsuch. Netizens within no time started speculating a link between the two news. Finally, Mohini has broken silence on the matter.
She took to her Instagram story as she responded to the trolls and urged everyone to respect her privacy. She said that she has rejected various interviews stating that she does not want to waste her energy on baseless rumours. Her caption read, ‘I’ve been getting a humongous amount of requests for interviews and I know exactly what it’s about so, I have to respectfully turn each one down because I am not interested in fuelling into ABSOLUTE BS. I believe my energy is not worth spending on RUMOURS. Kindly, respect my privacy (sic)’.
Earlier, AR Rahman’s son Ameen spoke about the news and called the rumours baseless. He also took to his Instagram and shared a picture of his father alongside an infant and asked people ‘what’s the difference’. He wrote, ‘My father is a legend, not just for his incredible contributions, but for the values, respect, and love he has earned over the years. It’s disheartening to see false and baseless rumours being spread. Let us all remember the importance of truth and respect when speaking about someone’s life and legacy. Please refrain from engaging in or spreading such misinformation. Let’s honour and preserve his dignity and the incredible impact he has had on all of us. #EPI (sic).’
AR Rahman and his wife Saira got separated after being married for 29 years.
