In a poignant farewell to their fans, BTS members Jimin and Jungkook officially began their military duties on December 12, marking the last enlistment for the iconic K-pop group. Recently, on December 17, images from their initial training sessions stirred a frenzy among fans as they circulated widely on social media.
Despite the photos’ low quality, BTS enthusiasts quickly recognized the beloved artists and lauded their soldierly appearances. In one snapshot, Jungkook is seen attentively participating in a training session, while another captures Jimin applauding in a similar lecture environment.
BTS ARMY, as the fandom is known, couldn’t help but express admiration for how the duo maintained their striking looks even with military buzzcuts.
A social media user who shared the images captioned it, “BTS’s Jungkook and Jimin’s first training camp photos—they say it’s from a writing seminar.” Online communities in Korea were inundated with comments expressing sentiments such as “It’s so cute they’re taking a writing class” and “Even with bad photo quality, you can tell it’s them.”
The globally renowned K-pop supergroup, managed by BIGHIT MUSIC and consisting of seven members—Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—currently sees all its members fulfilling military service. Fans eagerly anticipate the septet’s reunion in 2025.
Jimin, who gained prominence with solo tracks like “Lie” (2016), “Serendipity” (2017), and “Filter” (2020) released under the BTS banner, initiated his solo career in 2023 with the album “FACE.” His second single, “Like Crazy,” debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Known as the golden maknae (youngest member) of the group, Jungkook embarked on his solo journey with the album “GOLDEN” (2023), currently dominating the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 for the fifth consecutive week. He also made history as the first Korean soloist to stay on Billboard’s Artist 100 list for an impressive 17 weeks. Fans await the eventual reunion of BTS in 2025.
