Initial reports stated Perry’s death as ‘accidental drowning’.
On Sunday, the coroner’s office issued an update to its case, revealing that the cause of Perry’s death had been marked as “deferred.” This term typically indicates that an autopsy has been conducted, but the medical examiner requires additional time and further investigation to ascertain the precise cause of death.

Once the results of these tests and are available, the doctor reevaluates the case to make a definitive determination regarding the cause of death.
People repoted that the results of Perry’s autopsy are presently pending a toxicology report, a process that typically takes several weeks to complete.
