The highly anticipated Indian International Film Festival (IFFI) commences today in Goa, promising an eight-day extravaganza featuring top Bollywood stars.
Opening the Festival: Amidst much excitement, the festival will open with the iconic Khalasi song, followed by a medley of tunes from various languages, including hits like “Nach Punjaban” and “Shivba Aamcha Malhari.”
Star Performances: Nushrratt Bharuccha is set to dazzle the audience with performances on two Shah Rukh Khan classics, “Jhoome Re Pathaan” and “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya,” along with “Saami Saami” and the Oscar-winning “Naatu Naatu.” Vijay Sethupathi will discuss his film ‘Gandhi Talks,’ followed by a captivating performance by Shriya Saran, dancing to “Oo Antaava” and “Show Me The Thumka.”
Madhuri Dixit, a classical dance maestro, is geared up to showcase her talent with timeless numbers like “Maar Daala,” “Dola Re Dola,” and “Aaja Nach Le.”
Debut Moments: Pankaj Tripathi will make his IFFI debut, presenting a poem and introducing his film ‘Kadak Singh,’ directed by Viraf Sarkari. Shreya Ghoshal and Shantanu Moitra are also set to grace the event.
High Voltage Performances: The opening ceremony promises electrifying performances by Shahid Kapoor, who will present a medley of his chartbusters, and playback singer Sukhwinder Singh, invoking patriotism through hits like “Ae Watan Ae Watan.”
Star Lineup: Sara Ali Khan returns to entertain, and post the success of ‘Gadar 2,’ Sunny Deol makes his IFFI debut, ensuring a star-studded affair.
Overall, the 54th IFFI opening ceremony is set to be a spectacular showcase featuring the crème de la crème of the Indian film industry.
