In a series of setbacks, the much-anticipated release of ‘Dhruva Natchathiram,’ directed by Gautham Menon and featuring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead, faces yet another delay. Originally slated for release on November 24, the film’s journey to the big screen has been marred by financial hurdles.
Despite earlier securing distribution partners in various regions, Gautham Menon’s failure to finalize a distribution partner in Tamil Nadu has triggered confusion surrounding the film’s release. Efforts to resolve financial issues and proceed with the announced release date have proven futile for the director and his team. The prevailing uncertainty surrounding the film’s release in Tamil Nadu has compelled the makers to retract their initial release date, with a preference for releasing the film exclusively in its home state.
As a result, ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ faces yet another postponement, adding to the prolonged anticipation for Chiyaan Vikram and Gautham Menon’s collaboration. Bookings for the film, which had already commenced at overseas theaters, are now on hold, prompting theaters to initiate the refund process.
The spy thriller features Chiyaan Vikram in the role of a secret agent and includes a stellar cast with Ritu Varma, Simran, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Vinayakan, Salim Baig, Vamsi Krishna, and Maya in pivotal roles. The film’s music is scored by Harris Jayaraj, and it has received a U/A certification from the CBFC. Director Lingusamy, after a special screening, shared a positive review of ‘Dhruva Natchathiram.’
