The Malayalam film ‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life,’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul, has marked a successful one-week run in theaters since its release on March 28. As it entered its second week on April 6, the film has continued to draw audiences.
According to Sacnilk.com, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.70 crore on its second Thursday, bringing its total collection to Rs 67.85 crore. Initially released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, the film now screens only in Malayalam and Tamil due to a decline in numbers in the other languages.
On April 11, the occupancy rate for the Malayalam version was reported at 68.25 percent, while the Tamil version recorded 34.10 percent.
Directed by Blessy, ‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’ is a survival drama based on the real-life story of a Malayali immigrant who faced slavery in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. The film is an adaptation of the bestseller by writer Benyamin with the same title. The makers recently announced that the film had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.
