Arjunn Dutta’s latest film, “Deep Fridge,” premiered at the Bangalore International Film Festival on March 6th, where it received positive reception from attendees. The narrative of the film revolves around the journey of a divorced couple, portrayed by Abir Chatterjee and Tnusree Chakraborty, as they navigate the complexities of their past relationship. Arjunn and Tnusree were present at the festival to represent the film.
Reflecting on the significance of their film being showcased, Arjunn expressed gratitude, stating, “Deep Fridge was the sole Bengali entry in the Indian Cinema Competition at the Bangalore International Film Festival, which was a tremendous honor for us. Previously, the film was also selected for the Indian Panorama at IFFI.”
Discussing the underlying theme of the film, Arjunn elaborated, “I have always pondered over the enduring connection between former partners, whether it fades entirely or remains embedded in the heart. My film delves into the journey of such a couple, grappling with their emotions and striving for closure while prioritizing the well-being of their child.”
Tnusree shared her delight at the positive reception of the film, remarking, “It’s gratifying to see our hard work being acknowledged and appreciated by audiences. As a team, we feel honored.”
Providing insight into the storyline, Tnusree described, “In the film, Swarnava (portrayed by Abir) and Mili (my character) confront the societal expectations of marital bliss, ultimately unraveling the complexities of their relationship. ‘Deep Fridge’ explores their quest for closure
