Ammy Virk, a prominent figure in Punjabi cinema, is gearing up for his next big leap into Hindi cinema with his forthcoming film “Bad Newz,” co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri. In the meantime, he is actively promoting his upcoming Punjabi film, “Kudi Haryane Vale Di,” where he stars opposite Sonam Bajwa.
In a recent exclusive interview with ETimes, Virk shared insights into an important lesson he learned from fellow Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. During the conversation, the topic of expressing feelings in relationships arose. Sonam Bajwa opined that if a guy directly expresses his feelings for a girl, it would be appreciated.
Ammy Virk expanded on this idea, emphasizing the importance of open communication in all types of relationships. “Not just in romantic relationships, but in any relationship, if you have something to express—whether it’s positive or negative—you should say it,” Virk asserted. He recounted a recent conversation with a friend where he shared his honest thoughts and reflections, admitting times he felt selfish or regretted certain actions.
He attributed this approach to something he observed from Diljit Dosanjh. “I think I saw it in a show or interview or reel by Diljit Dosanjh paaji. It was about forgiveness. One should first forgive oneself and start afresh. If you have an issue with someone, you should clear it from your end.”
Virk also touched on handling conflicts, distinguishing between minor disagreements and deeper rivalries. “If there are issues regarding some rivalry or animosity, that is a different matter. But if there are issues about what he said or she said, those should be resolved,” he added.
Virk’s reflections underscore the value of honesty and forgiveness in maintaining healthy relationships, both personal and professional, and highlight the influence of Dosanjh’s philosophy on his own approach to life.
