Taking to Instagram, Kashyap shared his cinematic experience after watching two exceptional Malayalam films, ‘Manjummel Boys’ and ‘Bramayugam.’ He commended the confidence and storytelling prowess in ‘Manjummel Boys,’ describing it as an “extraordinary piece of confident mainstream filmmaking.”
Expressing astonishment at the superior quality of these films compared to big-budget productions in Hindi cinema, Kashyap questioned how such innovative ideas could be pitched to mainstream producers in Hindi cinema, where remakes often dominate.
His review on ‘Manjummel Boys’ emphasized its extraordinary confident mainstream filmmaking, surpassing big-budget productions in India. Kashyap pondered the challenge of selling such ideas to Hindi cinema producers, noting the industry’s reliance on remakes.
