Salman Khan’s family’s opulent lunches and dinners have gained widespread attention, with social media images highlighting their popularity. The Khan family is frequently in the spotlight for their steadfast support of one another, whether celebrating the release of a new film or welcoming a new member of the third generation. The Khans, Agnihotris, and Sharmas come together annually for their renowned Eid luncheon, and photos from these gatherings often go viral and create a buzz online.
In a recent conversation with News18 Showsha, Ayaan Agnihotri, son of Atul and Alvira Khan Agnihotri, offered a glimpse into a typical day at Galaxy Apartment. “It’s like lunch at any big family’s. It’s pretty normal. But it’s also loud, there are lots of jokes and one random shout here and there. Then we’ve some elders telling us to sit straight and do this and do that. We sit down for lunch at three o’clock. Nana goes and sits first. Once he starts eating, we kids join him at the table,” Ayaan shared.
Ayaan also revealed that Sohail Khan takes on a more playful role when his father, Salim Khan, is not around. “There are so many people that we take rounds at the table. If nana decides to eat late, Sohail mamu gets to the table first and starts eating, then Nirvaan, Arhaan, and I join him. Sohail mamu is the best!” he said.
Recalling their vacations, Ayaan fondly described Sohail Khan as his “most chill mamu.” “Growing up, he would take me, Nirvaan, Arhaan, and our friends anywhere. He would say, ‘Let’s go to Goa or Alibaug!’ No maids would come with us, just the seven kids and him. He took on all our responsibilities because he loves spending time with us,” Ayaan explained.
Regarding his other mamu, Arbaaz Khan, Ayaan admitted that he sometimes finds him intimidating. “While Sohail mamu is the most fun, Arbaaz mamu can scare me sometimes. He keeps you on your toes and you never know with him! He’s really fun, then suddenly gets very serious and then becomes fun again. He has a very wicked sense of humor,” Ayaan remarked.
Ayaan also shared his fondness for staycations at Arpita Farms, describing weekends in Panvel as his favorite family vacations. “That’s home for us and nothing compares to it,” he said. He also spoke about his cousins, mentioning his special bond with Arhaan. “My favorite cousin is Arhaan. Arhaan, Alizeh, and I tend to laugh out loud during arguments. I spoil my younger cousins rotten. I drop Ahil to school every morning. As for Nirvaan, he can bargain till he dies when he wants to,” Ayaan added with a laugh.
