Iconic actor Mohanlal is making waves in the film industry as he steps into the director’s chair for the first time in his illustrious career with the highly anticipated film ‘Barroz.’ Recently, the film’s production team unveiled a captivating behind-the-scenes (BTS) video, sparking excitement among fans and offering a glimpse into the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication showcased by Mohanlal, who is juggling the roles of director and actor with expertise.

Set to be released in 3D, ‘Barroz’ is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film helmed by Mohanlal himself. The film is based on the novel “Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure” by Jijo Punnoose and stars Mohanlal in the titular role. He is supported by an ensemble cast including Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Tuhin Menon, and Guru Somasundaram.
With an original score composed by Mark Kilian and songs by Lydian Nadhaswaram, ‘Barroz’ promises to transport audiences into a world of fantasy and adventure. The story revolves around Barroz, a guardian entrusted with protecting Vasco da Gama’s hidden treasure for over four centuries. Barroz’s solemn duty is to bestow wealth upon a true descendant of da Gama—an enigmatic tale promised to captivate audiences with its blend of mystique and intrigue.
In addition to ‘Barroz’, Mohanlal is currently participating in the shoot for Tharun Moorthy’s ‘L360’, showcasing his versatility and commitment to the craft.
