Blake Lively recently addressed the alarming plot targeting Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna. While promoting her new film It Ends With Us in London, Lively expressed relief that the threat had been neutralized, ensuring the safety of Swift and her fans.
Describing the situation as “terrifying,” Lively shared her concerns over the safety of the event. Official reports revealed that the plot involved individuals planning a terrorist attack with explosives and knives, and one suspect had pledged allegiance to ISIS. The suspects, radicalized online, had made extensive preparations for the attack.
Police acted quickly, arresting the suspects and canceling the concert at Ernst Happel Stadium. The authorities detailed the dangerous nature of the plot and the materials involved. A Taylor Swift fan page on Instagram noted the chaos led to the show’s cancellation.
The arrested individuals included a 19-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 15-year-old. Although Swift has not publicly commented on the incident, she has previously mentioned that attacks at her concerts are her “biggest fear.” Lively and Swift share a close friendship, with Lively frequently attending Swift’s concerts and Swift being the godmother to Lively’s children. As Swift prepares for her next performance at Wembley Stadium on August 15, Lively continues to receive acclaim for her role in It Ends With Us, which is performing well in theaters.
