In its eighth day at the box office, the Mammootty starrer ‘Bramayugam’ experienced a slight downturn in audience turnout, primarily attributed to the recent release of ‘Manjummel Boys.’ Despite facing competition, ‘Bramayugam’ continues to attract movie buffs, with Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, and Ganapathy starrer ‘Manjummel Boys’ affecting its box office numbers.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Bramayugam’ generated approximately Rs 85 lakh on the eighth day across all languages, with an overall occupancy rate of 19.62 percent. The film’s total India net collection on the eighth day reached Rs 17.79 crore, contributing to its cumulative worldwide box office collection of Rs 37 crore.
As the weekend approaches and ‘Manjummel Boys’ continues to draw audiences, ‘Bramayugam’ is expected to gain more traction. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the mystery thriller features Mammootty in the lead role, with crucial contributions from actors Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan. Amalda Liz and Manikandan Achary also play significant roles in the film. Notably, ‘Bramayugam’ offers a unique theatrical experience by being entirely shot in black-and-white.
Moreover, anticipation builds as the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada versions of ‘Bramayugam’ are scheduled to release on a forthcoming date.
