Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s sports drama, ‘Lal Salaam’, featuring Superstar Rajnikanth in an extended cameo, has sustained a consistent performance at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews.
After a nine-day theatrical run, the film has accumulated a total of Rs 15.7 crore.
According to early estimates from the Sacnilk website, ‘Lal Salaam’ reportedly garnered approximately Rs 35 lakhs in India on its ninth day across all languages. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film recorded an overall 21.79 percent Tamil occupancy on Saturday. Audience turnover rates for the movie were 20.33 percent for morning shows, 23.03 percent for afternoon shows, 20.48 percent for evening shows, and 23.31 percent for night shows.
Aishwarya Rajinikanth, making a comeback with ‘Lal Salaam’, presents a sports drama featuring a stellar cast, including Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, and Vivek Prasanna in supporting roles. The legendary cricketer Kapil Dev also makes a brief appearance in the film. Pravin Baaskar serves as the editor, while the music is composed by AR Rahman, and Vishnu Rangasamy takes on the role of cinematographer, co-writing the screenplay with Aishwarya.
