Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s latest film, ‘Fighter,’ hit the screens on Thursday, generating considerable buzz in the entertainment world. Despite receiving positive reviews, the film’s initial box office performance fell below expectations. However, industry insiders anticipate a surge in numbers over the Republic Day extended weekend.
Before its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) mandated certain cuts, leading to the exclusion of the songs ‘Ishq Jaisa Kuch’ and ‘Dil Jaa Raha Hai’ from the Indian version. Interestingly, these songs remain intact in the overseas release of the film, and fans who have watched it abroad have been sharing clips on social media.
The viral song, in particular, has garnered attention for the sizzling chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Fans express admiration for the song’s appeal, with some suggesting it surpasses the impact of the censored ‘Ishq Jaisa Kuch.’ Social media is abuzz with fans praising the on-screen duo, calling the film a “paisa vasool flick.”
One user shared a video and commented, “#Fighter @deepikapadukone and @iHrithik looked fab ????????on screen. Complete paisa vasool flick…”
Fans are now urging director Siddharth Anand to release the censored song officially, hoping to see it in the OTT version of the movie. Despite the opening day’s collection of Rs 22 crore at the domestic box office, expectations are high for a significant growth on day 2, with trade analysts predicting a haul of more than Rs 35 crore.
Apart from the lead pair, ‘Fighter’ features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in key roles.
