Actor Chetan Chandra reportedly endured a violent encounter with a mob of over 20 individuals in Kaggalipura, near Kanakapura, on Sunday night. The incident occurred as Chandra was returning to his Bengaluru residence following a visit to a temple. Detailing the harrowing experience in a video, Chetan recounted how a seemingly intoxicated individual had been tailing his car for nearly 4 kilometers, engaging in reckless stunts. After a minor collision, Chandra slowed down to address the situation, only to find himself confronted by the individual who then summoned a group of bystanders. Without provocation, the group launched into an assault on Chetan, leaving him with injuries, including a broken nose and damage to his left eye. Following the altercation, Chetan promptly reported the incident to the authorities, visiting the Kaggalipura police station. Sources close to the actor revealed that Chandra may require surgery for his injuries and that valuable possessions, including a gold chain and cash, were stolen during the attack. Currently, one individual has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
