Danny Ramirez is set to star in the upcoming film Pursuit of Touch, a project he co-wrote with Jeremy O. Harris, the creator of Slave Play. Harris will produce the film alongside Ramirez, Niv Gafny, and Tom Culliver, who will be working through their production company, Pinstripes. Josh Godfrey, Harris’ partner, will also produce through their company bb². The film currently does not have a director attached.
In Pursuit of Touch, Ramirez plays a reclusive Afghanistan War veteran who learns that his favorite cam girl is caught up in a dangerous conspiracy. He embarks on a mission to save her, and what begins as a peculiar quest evolves into a poignant story about human connection in a digital age.
Ramirez recently completed work on Captain America: Brave New World and HBO’s The Last of Us. He will also be featured in Todd Haynes’ forthcoming film. His recent credits include the dark comedy Winner, Top Gun: Maverick, and Black Mirror: Mazey Day.
Jeremy O. Harris, known for his critically acclaimed play Slave Play, has been nominated for two 2023 Tony Awards for producing The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window and Ain’t No Mo’. His play Daddy premiered Off-Broadway and had subsequent runs in London and Tokyo. In 2023, Harris collaborated with Gucci and Monteverdi on the Substratum residency, mentoring young writers. He also co-wrote the critically acclaimed film Zola and directed the documentary Slave Play. Not A Movie. A Play., which premiered on HBO.
Josh Godfrey, co-founder of bb² with Harris, has produced notable films including Manchester By The Sea, Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, and the SXSW-winning Topside. He is also involved in the upcoming film Caddo Lake, starring Dylan O’Brien and Eliza Scanlen.
Tom Culliver recently executive produced the award-winning In the Summers and the forthcoming Anna Nicole Smith biopic Hurricanna, starring Sylvia Hooks, Mark Duplass, and Holly Hunter.
Harris and Godfrey are also producing The Wives with Jennifer Lawrence, Apple Original Films, and A24.
