Moore is slated to take on the role of Cami, portraying the wife of one of the influential oil magnates in Texas. Her character, Cami, is described as a close friend to Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton.
The narrative of ‘Landman’ unfolds in the legendary boomtowns of West Texas, offering a contemporary tale of the pursuit of wealth in the oil industry. The series draws its inspiration from the 11-part podcast titled ‘Boomtown,’ delving into the lives of roughnecks and adventurous billionaires steering a transformative boom with far-reaching impacts on climate, economy, and geopolitics.
Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios President and CEO Chris McCarthy expressed excitement about having Demi Moore on board, praising her as an “iconic and extraordinary talent.” Moore joins a star-studded cast alongside Billy Bob Thornton in what is anticipated to be an epic series by Taylor Sheridan.
According to Deadline, Demi Moore is also set to appear in the second season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series, ‘Feud: Capote vs. The Swans,’ portraying Ann Woodward, a former showgirl and radio actress convicted of murdering her husband in 1955. Additionally, Moore is part of Coralie Fargeat’s debut studio film, ‘The Substance,’ sharing the screen with Margaret Qualley.
