Esteemed actor-director Digpal Lanjekar, renowned for his impactful series of films centered around Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his army, including ‘Farzand,’ ‘Fatteshikast,’ ‘Pawankhind,’ ‘Sher Shivraj,’ and ‘Subhedar,’ has officially unveiled the much-anticipated sixth installment titled ‘Shivrayancha Chhava.’
Taking to his Instagram handle, Lanjekar treated fans to a glimpse of the upcoming historical epic by sharing a captivating poster. In his post, he wrote, “Placing hands in the jaws of a tiger… ‘Shivrayancha Chhava’ will be in cinemas starting February 16, 2024!”
The film, categorized as a historical drama, delves into the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji, also known as Shambhuraje, the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire and the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the illustrious founder of the Maratha Empire.
Scheduled for a theatrical release on February 16, 2024, ‘Shivrayancha Chhava’ has been extensively shot across Maharashtra, featuring a stellar cast including Chinmay Mandlekar, Trupti Toradmal, Prasanna Ketkar, Abhijeet Shwetachandra, and Mrinal Kulkarni. The film promises to be a compelling portrayal of historical events, capturing the essence of Maratha history.
