In a recent interview with Radio Musica, acclaimed director Jeethu Joseph provided insights into the unexpected delays surrounding the highly-anticipated film ‘Ram,’ starring Mohanlal. The director shed light on various challenges that have hindered the progress of this high-budget action drama.
Joseph disclosed that the setbacks originated during the filming of a crucial fight sequence in the United Kingdom, where one of the female leads suffered an injury, necessitating an immediate pause in production. Additionally, expensive sequences faced interruptions due to unpredictable climate issues in the UK. In response, the production team shifted their focus to Morocco, with plans to resume the UK schedule later.
The director emphasized the complexities of restarting the shoot, citing concerns about continuity and the necessity to match seasons for specific scenes filmed in the UK’s forested areas. Joseph highlighted the critical role of weather in maintaining consistency, stating that resuming shooting without proper climate alignment would render previously captured footage unusable.
Despite these challenges, Joseph acknowledged the completion of shooting in Morocco but noted that certain shots remain pending in Tunisia, the UK, and other locations. Managing the logistics of these diverse filming locations and their associated challenges has proven to be a formidable task for the movie producers.
In the face of these hurdles, Jeethu Joseph conveyed the team’s determination to overcome obstacles and bring ‘Ram’ to the theaters. He mentioned that Mohanlal, along with the producers and the entire crew, is working diligently to ensure the movie’s completion and subsequent release.
