EXCLUSIVE: Djimon Hounsou has joined the cast of Sony Pictures’ upcoming thriller, which is being produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick. Phoebe Dynevor and Whitney Peak are also set to star, with Tommy Wirkola writing and directing the film. Details about the plot are being kept confidential. The film will be produced under McKay and Messick’s HyperObject Industries banner.
Hounsou, who was recently featured in the box office hit A Quiet Place: Day One alongside Lupita Nyong’o, has also appeared in Gran Turismo and both installments of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon. His breakthrough role in Steven Spielberg’s Amistad earned him a Golden Globe nomination and an NAACP Image Award. He later shared a SAG Award nomination with the cast of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator. Hounsou’s extensive filmography includes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, A Quiet Place Part II, The King’s Man, Shazam!, Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
