Despite recent speculations linking them to designer Tarun Tahiliani, it has been revealed that a team of five designers is collaborating on the couple’s attire, encompassing outfits for the mehendi, sangeet, and wedding ceremonies.
Sources have disclosed that Tarun Tahiliani, Shantnu & Nikhil, Falguni Shane Peacock, Kunal Rawal, and Arpita Mehta are collectively crafting the couple’s wardrobe, with a hint of an ensemble designed by an international fashion artist. Rakul’s mehendi outfit is expected to showcase a contemporary twist while honoring her Punjabi heritage, particularly through the revival of Phulkari embroidery, blending tradition with modernity.
A previous interview with a source had revealed that the wedding will be a beach ceremony, chosen due to Rakul and Jackky’s shared love for beach destinations. The couple plans to dive back into work immediately after the celebration, with Rakul intending to resume work within a week, even working three days leading up to the wedding ceremonies. No immediate honeymoon plans have been disclosed.
