In a disturbing turn of events on social media, a woman who critiqued actor Ranbir Kapoor’s leaked appearance from the set of his upcoming film, ‘Ramayana’, has fallen victim to cyberbullying and harassment allegedly perpetrated by the actor’s fans.
The woman, who took to Twitter to express her opinion on Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram, faced a torrent of online attacks from supporters of the actor. Some went to extreme lengths by morphing her personal photos into inappropriate videos and circulating them online, leading to significant distress for the victim.
Expressing her anguish, the woman reached out to authorities, including the cybercrime division, seeking swift action against the perpetrators. Despite filing complaints, she lamented the lack of response and appealed for urgent intervention to address the issue.
The incident comes in the wake of leaked photos featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in their roles as Lord Ram and Sita, respectively, which went viral online before being removed by the team. The film ‘Ramayana’ is highly anticipated and is scheduled for release in theaters in 2025.
