Bollywood filmmaker Farhan Akhtar recently discussed his future collaboration plans with superstar Shah Rukh Khan during a fan interaction at Pinkvilla’s masterclass commemorating the 20th anniversary of their film “Lakshya”. Known for directing SRK in the popular “Don” series and collaborating on other projects through Excel Entertainment, Farhan expressed enthusiasm about working with Khan again.
Responding to a query about a potential reunion with SRK on screen, Akhtar affirmed their intention to collaborate, emphasizing the importance of finding the right project that both artists are passionate about. He confidently stated, “100 percent,” ensuring fans that a future project together is inevitable.
Farhan Akhtar’s announcement about “Don 3”, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, has also been a topic of excitement among Bollywood enthusiasts. The third installment of the franchise is set to begin filming in 2025, adding to the anticipation surrounding his upcoming projects.
Previously, SRK has appeared in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut “Don” (2006) and its sequel “Don 2” (2011), portraying the iconic anti-hero character. The duo’s creative collaborations extend beyond the “Don” series, with SRK making a cameo in Zoya Akhtar’s “Luck by Chance”, produced by Excel Entertainment, and the company co-producing SRK’s film “Raees” in 2017.
