Gautami Kapoor is thoroughly enjoying this phase of her career as she transitions from television to the digital space, eagerly anticipating the release of three upcoming web projects. Known for her work on TV, Kapoor is excited about the variety and freedom offered by web shows, which she feels allow her to explore different characters and challenge herself in ways television often doesn’t. She appreciates that web shows are finite, enabling her to avoid being typecast in a single role for several years, which she finds restrictive in TV.
The first of her web projects, “Gyaarah Gyaarah,” is set to premiere on Zee5 on August 9. This series features a star-studded cast including Raghav Juyal, Kritika Kamra, and Dhairya Karwa, and is directed by Umesh Bist with production by Guneet Monga and Karan Johar. Kapoor, who shares many scenes with Kamra, expressed her enthusiasm about working with Juyal, noting that he made the experience enjoyable and effortless. She described the show as an innovative thriller with complex narration that requires close attention from viewers to fully grasp the interconnected plot.
Kapoor also highlighted the challenging conditions faced during filming, particularly in Dehradun, where the team dealt with extreme cold and demanding action sequences. She praised her co-stars—Raghav Juyal, Kritika Kamra, and Dhairya Karwa—for their outstanding performances and endurance under tough conditions, including scenes with artificial rain in freezing temperatures.
