Malayalam scriptwriter Nizam Rawther passed away on Wednesday, March 6, at the age of 49, just two days before the scheduled release of his film ‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam.’ The untimely demise has left the film industry in deep sorrow, with the ‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ team expressing inconsolable grief.
Actress Gouri G Kishan, a part of the film, took to Facebook to share a heartfelt note mourning the loss of Nizam Rawther. In her post, she expressed the unbearable pain of losing the creator of the film, who had envisioned her as the perfect fit for the role of Divya, the Asha worker. She emphasized that Nizam Rawther’s contribution was instrumental in bringing the film to fruition, and now, just two days before its release, his absence has left the team uncertain about their emotions.
Paying tribute to the departed soul, Gouri G Kishan concluded her note with the words, “RIP Nizam Rawther – our beloved scriptwriter #OruSarkarUlpannam.”
‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam,’ directed by debutant TV Renjith, features Subish Sudhi, Shelly, Gouri G Kishan, Aju Vargheese, Vineeth Vasudev, and Jaffer Idukki in lead roles. The film, originally scheduled for release on March 1, faced a delay due to CBFC’s directive to change the title from ‘Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam.’ The team had to reschedule the release in light of this adjustment.
