In a remarkable debut at the box office, “Hanu-Man” garnered an impressive estimated Rs 12.20 Crore in India on its first day, followed by a robust performance on its second day, January 13, 2024, where it raked in around Rs 12.50 Crore net for all languages. With a cumulative total of Rs 24.70 Crore in India, the film is poised to swiftly recover its production costs, considering its economical budget.
According to data from Sacnilk, “Hanu-Man” boasted an overall Telugu occupancy of 81.83% on Saturday, January 13. The morning shows recorded 75.75%, afternoon shows exhibited 86.23%, and evening shows maintained an 83.51% occupancy. Meanwhile, the film secured an 18.38% Hindi occupancy on the same day.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, the movie features a stellar cast including Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Raj Deepak Shetty. In a video shared on his account, Ram Gopal Varma emphasized that “Hanu-Man” serves as a significant rebuke to filmmakers accustomed to working on budgets ranging from 300 to 500 crores, given its reported meager budget of Rs 25 crore.
