In a recent revelation, Jamie Lee Curtis shared insights into Arnold Schwarzenegger’s reservations about kissing her in the 1994 American action comedy film ‘True Lies.’ The 64-year-old actress and 76-year-old action star portrayed Helen and Harry Tasker in the movie, where Harry allows his wife to participate in a spy mission due to suspicions of infidelity.
According to reports from femalefirst.co.uk, the age gap between the two actors was a source of concern for the ‘Terminator’ star. Curtis explained to Closer US magazine, “I think he knew me as Tony’s little girl. Arnold loved my dad, and I think it might have been a little weird for him having to make out with Tony’s daughter.”
Addressing the possibility of a ‘True Lies’ sequel, Curtis previously indicated that it would be unlikely, citing the post-9/11 landscape as a hindrance. She stated, “I don’t think we could ever do another ‘True Lies’ after 9/11. This was pre-9/11, so I wouldn’t want to say we could make fun of terrorism, but we could make fun of terrorism because it was so outrageous, and of course, we can’t ever make fun of them ever again.”
Despite her reluctance for a follow-up film, Curtis expressed appreciation for her character, Helen, considering it one of the best in her career. She also praised James Cameron for his work on the project.
This revelation provides a unique perspective on the dynamics between co-stars and sheds light on the challenges faced by actors in navigating personal connections while bringing characters to life on the big screen.
