In the realm of burgeoning talent, Kalidas Jayaram has solidified his position as a promising actor. Noteworthy for his roles in ‘Vikram,’ ‘Paava Kathaigal,’ and ‘Natchathiram Nagargirathu,’ among others, Jayaram recently embarked on a new cinematic journey with director A Hariharan in the film ‘Nila Varum Velai,’ alongside leading lady Kayadu Lohar. Commencing production last month, the actor took to Instagram to announce the completion of a schedule for the period thriller set in the 1970s.
Sharing a snapshot featuring himself and the film’s director, Jayaram hinted at a potentially forest-centric setting. ‘Nila Varum Velai’ is poised to blend historical intrigue with elements of the supernatural and paranormal. Notably, the film is being simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu, with Jayaram headlining the Tamil version, while the Telugu rendition features Sathyadev.
The ensemble cast includes stalwarts like Prabhu and Radhika Sarathkumar, portraying pivotal roles in both language versions. In the Tamil iteration, supporting roles feature Vivek Prasanna and Deepak Paramesh, whereas the Telugu counterpart boasts Rahul Ramakrishna and Shatru.
Behind the scenes, cinematographer Mukesh Gnanesh and editor Bhuvan Srinivas contribute to the film’s technical prowess, while music is orchestrated by the duo Vivek – Mervin. Having last graced the screen in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Por,’ alongside Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram continues to make waves in the South Indian film industry.
