Renowned actor Kamal Haasan, currently engaged in the filming of the upcoming ‘Thug Life’ directed by Mani Ratnam, has generously donated Rs 1 crore towards the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building. The donation was presented in the form of a check to Nadigar Sangam administrators Nasser, Vishal, Karthi, and Poochi Murugan.
The construction of the Nadigar Sangam building, initiated after the foundation stone was laid by Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in April 2017, faced delays for various reasons. The 18-ground property is slated to host a 1000-seater auditorium, addressing the need for a venue to organize award functions. Additionally, plans include an 800-seat marriage hall and a smaller 300-seat mini-hall. The facility will offer complimentary use of its halls to members, along with dedicated parking space.
Amidst these philanthropic efforts, Kamal Haasan eagerly anticipates the release of ‘Indian 2,’ directed by Shankar, currently in the post-production stage. Simultaneously, he continues to film ‘Thug Life,’ a star-studded project helmed by the acclaimed Mani Ratnam.
