Konkona Sen Sharma has joined the chorus of praise for the acclaimed sports drama “Challengers,” featuring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film has not only garnered widespread acclaim from viewers but has also dominated the American box office.
Taking to her Instagram story, Konkona expressed her enthusiasm for the tennis-centric thriller, calling it a “romantic thriller” and praising it as “a fun ride.” She even added a snippet of the film’s soundtrack to her story update.
In “Challengers,” Zendaya portrays Tashi, a former tennis prodigy-turned-coach, who assists her husband, played by Mike Faist, in preparing for a crucial tennis match. However, tension arises as they face off against Josh O’Connor’s character, Tashi’s former lover and Faist’s one-time best friend.
The film hit theaters on April 26 and has received positive reviews from audiences.
On the professional front, Konkona recently appeared in Abhishek Chaubey’s series “Killer Soup” and is set to feature in Anurag Basu’s “Metro…In Dino.”
