Chaithra J Achar has taken the plunge into learning how to swim, proving that it’s never too late to pick up a new hobby. With her brother, a swimmer and her personal coach, urging her to dive in, Chaithra quickly made progress. “On the first day, he taught me how to hold my breath and stay calm. Now, after just three weeks, I can swim comfortably,” she reveals. Proud of her rapid improvement, Chaithra notes, “He said I am a quick learner.”
Swimming had long been on Chaithra’s resolution list, but it took her brother’s encouragement to make it happen. “If you make up your mind, you can achieve anything at any age. Seeing women in their 60s and 70s doing deadlifts on social media inspires me. I am a fitness enthusiast always seeking new ways to stay fit, and swimming offers excellent cardio benefits,” she explains.
Chaithra had to pause her swimming practice due to a shoot but is now ready to resume and begin learning how to do laps.
