Veteran actor and TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha, 77, was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai due to a severe fever, as confirmed by his son Luv Sinha on Sunday. Luv clarified that his father was undergoing an annual health check-up at the medical facility. The exact timing of Sinha’s hospitalization remains undisclosed.
“My father had a strong fever, so we decided to admit him to the hospital for recovery and his routine medical tests,” Luv conveyed to PTI via WhatsApp.
Shatrughan Sinha recently achieved success in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal’s Asansol constituency under the TMC banner. His daughter, actor Sonakshi Sinha, also made headlines with her marriage to longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal on June 23.
Addressing speculations about Shatrughan Sinha undergoing surgery, Luv Sinha denied such claims. “I have been visiting the hospital daily, and I can confirm there was no surgical procedure,” he asserted.
Recently, Luv expressed disappointment over an alleged online campaign targeting him regarding his absence from his sister’s wedding. He emphasized that family remains his top priority despite any misunderstandings.
Amid these developments, newlyweds Sonakshi and Zaheer were seen leaving the hospital together on Friday.
