Salman Khan made his feature film debut in the 1980s with the lead role in “Maine Pyar Kiya,” directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Bhagyashree starred alongside him in the film. This August, after more than thirty years, “Maine Pyar Kiya” will be re-released in theaters. The film’s makers announced the re-release date on social media, stating, “It’s time to relive their ‘Pyar Bhari Dosti’ as #MainePyarKiya re-releases on 23rd August 2024.”
The announcement has generated excitement among fans, with many expressing their enthusiasm in the comments. One fan wrote, “Frrr…my all-time fav. Movie!” while another commented, “OMG, finally.” Additional comments included, “Thank you so much for the re-release,” and “This is my all-time favorite movie.”
Bhagyashree, who played Suman in the film, also shared the announcement on her Instagram story.
“Maine Pyar Kiya,” a romantic comedy, tells the story of Prem (Salman Khan) and Suman (Bhagyashree), who become friends, fall in love, and eventually overcome various obstacles to be together. The film also features Alok Nath, Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo, Rajeev Verma, Ajit Vachani, and Laxmikant Berde in significant roles.
On the professional front, Salman Khan was recently seen in “Tiger 3” and is set to appear next in AR Murugadoss’ “Sikandar,” which is slated for release during Eid 2025.
