In a remarkable feat at the box office, Mammootty’s latest foray into the horror genre, ‘Bramayugam,’ has surpassed the Rs 22.80 crores mark within a mere 12 days of its release in Kerala. The film, which globally crossed the Rs 50 crore milestone earlier, continues to enthrall audiences with its spine-chilling narrative.
According to reports from the Sacnilk website, ‘Bramayugam’ showcased strong performance in its initial 11 days, accumulating an estimated Rs 22.15 crores in net earnings in India. On its twelfth day, the horror drama added an impressive Rs 65 lakhs (early estimates) to its growing box office figures.
The week-wise collections underscore the film’s sustained popularity: Rs 17.85 crores in the first week, followed by Rs 1.15 crores on the 9th day (2nd Friday), Rs 1.6 crores on the 10th day (2nd Saturday), Rs 1.55 crores on the 11th day (2nd Sunday), and an additional Rs 65 lakhs on the 12th day (2nd Monday). The cumulative Kerala box office collections now stand at Rs 22.80 crores.
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, ‘Bramayugam’ not only showcases Mammootty’s stellar lead performance but has also garnered praise for its magnificent set designs, gripping storyline, and skilled direction.
