Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has been arrested in connection with the death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry. A thorough investigation into her background has revealed a deep-seated obsession with the Mafia, as reported by TMZ. Sangha is accused of supplying the ketamine that allegedly led to Perry’s death last October.
Investigators have discovered that Sangha has long been fascinated by the world of organized crime. She reportedly maintained a website dedicated to Mafia history, inspired by iconic films such as Scarface and The Godfather. The site, which connects to an old University of California, Irvine email address, features sections like “Mafia Mug Shots,” “Famous Mafia Faces,” “Cities of Mafia Families,” “Mafia History,” and “Favourite Mafia Movies.” Sangha, a UC Irvine alumna, detailed her passion for Mafia history, which she claimed began during her school years when she researched notorious American crime families for a project.
The Los Angeles Police Department and federal investigators believe that Sangha’s criminal activities may have been influenced by her obsession with the mob. In the ongoing investigation into Perry’s death, Sangha is being charged alongside Dr. Salvador Plasencia with conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Additionally, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has charged her with maintaining a drug-involved premises, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and multiple counts of ketamine distribution.
If convicted on all charges, Sangha faces the possibility of a life sentence. Several other individuals implicated in the case, including Erik Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, and Perry’s former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, have already accepted plea deals.
