A social media user had questioned the need to publicize a donation, commenting, “If you donate five rupees, do you need to tell ten people about it?” Navya addressed the comment with a thoughtful reply, suggesting, “Instead of focusing on negativity, give as much as your heart allows. If you believe not posting a photo is the right thing, then don’t post it.” Her response received widespread support and praise from her followers.
In a related development, singer Rimi Tomy has contributed Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Wayanad. She announced her donation on social media, expressing her condolences to the victims and appreciation for the rescue workers. Rimi’s post included a heartfelt message: “Condolences to those who have left us, stay safe everyone. To all the rescue workers working tirelessly, I pray there will not be another disaster like this. May the victims recover as soon as possible.”
Navya also shared an update on Instagram about her family’s involvement in the relief efforts, posting a photo of her parents and son making the donation on her behalf. She wrote, “I am in Kumily for shooting. In my absence, my parents and son carried out our humble duty for our brothers and sisters in Wayanad, with prayers. To those friends who messaged asking if we are safe, we are all safe so far.”
