Actor Paul Teal, best known for his role in the hit teen drama One Tree Hill, passed away on November 15. He was reportedly diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer and succumbed to the illness.
Paul Teal’s partner Emilia Torello confirmed the tragic news of hs passing. She shared an Instagram post that read, “Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail.”
Paul Teal played Josh Avery on One Tree Hill. The character was a successful actor who came out after his movie Seven Dreams ‘Til Tuesday gained recognition. His performance in the show’s seventh season was greatly appreciated. Teal also had supporting roles in popular shows including Dynasty, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, The Staircase and more.
His One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush paid tribute with an Instagram story that read, “Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Paul Teal. We were just starting to watch his OTH episodes on @dramaqueensoth and he’s such a talent.”
Bethany Joy Lenz shared, “He was shy and funny and so so comfortable on stage. Wow. Like his second skin. With his self-effacing sense of humour and willingness to dive fully into any character, Paul was perfect for the part. He was a joy to work with in any environment and so generous.”
