In a collective statement released by the film’s makers, they expressed their profound affection for the project and their steadfast dedication to delivering an outstanding cinematic experience. The statement read, “We have crafted this film with immense love and passion, as every filmmaker does. However, considering the slew of back-to-back releases and the packed schedule of the last two months of 2023, we have opted to extend the season of joy and bring our film to theaters on January 12, 2024.”
Vijay Sethupathi, taking to Instagram, unveiled a new poster, stating, “The wait is almost over! #MerryChristmas is making your winter merrier on January 12, 2024.”
The film, centered around events on Christmas night, is anticipated to be a concise ninety-minute production without any musical interludes. Primarily shot in Mumbai, Pune, and surrounding areas, the movie is a collaboration between Ramesh Taurani’s Tips Industries and Matchbox Pictures Pvt. Ltd. ‘Merry Christmas’ is set to captivate audiences when it finally graces the big screen on January 12, 2024.
