In the wake of his recent blockbuster, ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,’ Rebel star Prabhas is set to take a hiatus from the film industry until March 2024, citing health concerns. The actor, basking in the success of ‘Salaar,’ expressed gratitude for the positive reviews and overwhelming response.
Sources close to Prabhas revealed to Hindustan Times that the actor intends to use this break to rejuvenate his mind and refine his skills. Among his recent projects are Nag Ashwin’s futuristic venture ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit,’ and Maruthi’s ‘The Raja Saab’ featuring Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal.
With ‘Salaar’ nearing the end of its theatrical run, having amassed nearly Rs 650 crore worldwide, Prabhas is reported to be contemplating a trip to Europe for a surgical procedure. The film’s success has prompted Director Prashanth Neel to announce a sequel, ‘Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.’
The ensemble cast of ‘Salaar Part 1’ included Sriya Reddy, Shruti Haasan, Jagapati Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. The film achieved notable success, crossing the $9 million mark in North America.
