Telugu and Tamil actor Rahul Ravindran has showered accolades on the Malayalam film industry for its impressive resurgence, spotlighting the recent release of multiple critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as ‘Bramayugam,’ ‘Premalu,’ ‘Anweshippin Kandethum,’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’ this month.
Netizens have joined in applauding the Malayalam cinema comeback with ‘Bramayugam,’ ‘Premalu,’ and now ‘Manjummel Boys.’
Taking to Twitter, Rahul expressed his amazement, stating, “Malayalam cinema got no chill bro. Every week they drop two classics. There’s not enough time to catch all of them! Spread it out over a decade bros! What’s the rush man! What a sensational start to 2024 they’ve had… going by the reviews. Yet to catch most of them.”
The Malayalam film industry’s consistent delivery of quality content has captured attention not just within the industry but also from actors in other language cinemas, as highlighted by Rahul Ravindran’s commendation. The vibrant and diverse storytelling in Malayalam cinema continues to captivate audiences and industry peers alike.
The actor’s acknowledgment comes amid a wave of positive reviews for the newly released Malayalam films, with an exception to Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’, which was expected to be a grand spectacle but didn’t impress the majority of audiences.
Meanwhile, the Mammootty-starrer ‘Bramayugam’ has surpassed Rs 16 crores at the box office, while Naslen’s ‘Premalu’ has crossed the Rs 26 crores mark.
