The new Kannada film, “Vaikunta Samaraadhane,” with its distinctive title, has commenced production. The film marks the debut of advocate-turned-actor Rajat Maurya, who is also taking on the role of director. Maurya, known for his achievements in his legal career, has undergone training in both acting and directing and has appeared in several commercials.
The recently released black-and-white poster for the film has captured the attention of audiences. It features the dates 10.8.24 and 12.12.25, and the “death look” poster has already become a viral sensation.
In a statement, director Rajat Maurya explained the inspiration behind the film. “There is no house without Vaikuntha Samaradhana (a post-death ceremony). I spent my childhood with my grandfather, and drawing from these nostalgic moments, the film will blend emotional elements, entertainment, family drama, love, and suspense, all set in a village. We will soon finalize the selection of artists, including the heroine.”
The film’s music is composed by Ruthvik Muralidhar, while Harshit B Gowda is the cinematographer.
