In a significant career move, actor and casting director Rajesh Madhavan is making his directorial debut with the eagerly awaited feature film ‘Pennum Porattum’. The film, initially announced in 2022, commenced its filming on Saturday, February 10, in Kollemcode, marked by an official launch complete with a muhurat puja and switch-on ceremony.
Set to feature a cast of debutant actors in both lead and supporting roles, ‘Pennum Porattum’ promises to be a captivating fantasy entertainer. The screenplay is in the capable hands of Ravisankar, known for his work on scripts like ‘Rani Padmi’ starring Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal, as well as Mammootty’s ‘Bheeshma Parvam’. The film’s shoot is currently underway in Kollamcode and its environs.
Bringing their expertise to the project, Sabin Uralikandy handles cinematography, Chaman Chacko serves as the editor, and the musical score is crafted by Dawn Vincent. Rakhil takes charge of the art department for ‘Pennum Porattum’.
Rajesh Madhavan had previously unveiled the intriguing title poster for the film, featuring a woman peering through a window, with shadows hinting at a heated confrontation.
In a parallel development, on the personal front, Rajesh Madhavan is gearing up for a significant life event—his impending marriage to Deepthi Karat, who previously worked as an associate director for his film ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu’.
